Ketone energy: energy derived from burning of ketones as opposed to carbohydrate or protein derived energy.

Overview

Ketosis is the metabolic state where the body derives its energy from burning of ketones rather than from carbohydrates.

The body should not be dependent on carbs as its primary energy source.  To avoid carb dependence and function in ketosis, you will need to train your body to burn fats and you will need to eat large amounts of dietary fat, primarily in the form of butter and coconut oil.

When the body operates in ketosis, energy goes up, weight goes down and metabolic disorders improve.  Generally, when in ketosis, you only eat two meals/day and include lots of fat.

Belly fat and overweight are confirmation that you are carbohydrate dependent and suffer for pre-diabetes and insulin-resistance.

When in starvation mode, such as water fasting, the body shifts to burning ketones. Ideally, you want to be in a state of modified ketosis at all times.
