God Card: refers to a patient’s option to politely put medical professionals and nurses in their place by calling on higher authority.

Overview

The very nature of the medical profession creates a dilemma for patients who do not want to offend or outright challenge doctor or nurse, but do not know how to buy time so they can THINK or PRAY about the diagnosis or surgical suggestion they have been handed.

SOLUTION:  Simply smile, and tell doctor or nurse that you are going to go home and “pray about it” and when you get your answer, you will let them know.

Usually, it is necessary to repeat yourself several times before they hear you!

By exercising your GOD CARD, you politely put medical people in their proper place on the food chain.  This is the only way I know of to maintain control and avoid being PUSHED into a quick decision you may regret.

Patients need time to think, and medical professionals will quickly BACK OFF when you assert what appears to be your “religious” feelings.  Religion is the ideal frame for your personal feelings and medical professionals are sensitive to them.

Once you get into their brain, they will resign and respect your feelings.

Now, YOU, the patient, is in control and not the other way around.

P.S.  The God Card is your ultimate defense and you always have the card with you when you need it.  So, don’t be shy.  Play your God Card and watch what happens.
