Varnished:  a term that refers to a condition where circulating, ELEVATED, blood sugars glaze-over and coat brain receptors that read, respond and regulate the production of insulin by the pancreas, and also applies to receptors for the thyroid, adrenal glands, liver, etc.

Overview

The PRIMARY MASTER HORMONE in the body is leptin which is made by the fat cells.  Leptin signals the brain to either turn the pancreas on/off and produce more/less insulin.

Brain receptors are supposed to read leptin signals and then up/down regulate the pancreas’ production of insulin.

If brain receptors become glazed-over (coated with sugar based varnished) from elevated, circulating blood sugar, the body loses control of VITAL regulatory function that affects virtually every aspect of metabolism.
