Receded gums are an issue of POOR HYGIENE, failure of the body to maintain their integrity for lack of Vitamin C in the blood stream on a daily basis, abusive brushing (gums should NEVER be brushed) and lastly, failure to have teeth cleaned and checked yearly.

Dentists promote gum grafting on a totally fictitious premise to their patients.  It is what they DON’T tell the patient that is so very wrong; and that is, the tissue they take from the roof of your mouth is NOT THE SAME TYPE OF TISSUE!

Gum grafts are a complete and total waste of time and money.  They are extremely painful and extremely costly.  Worse, the do not help the affected teeth in any way.

If your gums are severely receded, you should probably pull your teeth, and save the pain and money of worthless gum grafts.

Prevention is the key to this issue.
