Polysaccharide: is a long chain sugar molecule as opposed to a short chain sugar like sucrose, agave, corn syrup i.e. simple sugars.

Long chain sugars help stabilize the system where short chain molecules disrupt the system. Short chain sugars inflame the gut wall and cause violent swings in insulin and leptin regulatory hormones critical to good health. Certain plant polysaccharide molecules help the body regenerate the intestinal gut wall and settle the immune system so it will not attack the host by way of an ‘autoimmune’ response.
