Epidemic: the rapid spread of infectious disease to a large number of people in a given population within a short period of time, usually two weeks or less.

Overview

Epidemics affect large numbers of people regardless of the time frame or mode of transmission or vector.  For example, isn’t it interesting that 20 years ago, only one child in 10,000 was autistic, but today one in twenty five is autistic? Yet, you never hear the word epidemic!

According to the official definition (above), we have an epidemic. So how did this happen? See Germ Theory of Disease.

Also consider that many health issues from obesity to Alzheimer’s, Autism and Asperger’s are also epidemic, yet, they fall outside the official definition..

If you are interested in avoiding whatever societal ‘epidemic’ making the rounds, ask for guidance.  There are many ways to avoid becoming a statistic and your terrain is one of the keys.

Another key element that determines whod becomes ill and who does not is imbalance between insulin and leptin.  Please read Special Insights, Change Your Food Habits, Change Your Life by clicking hyperlink.
