Zinc: a critically important mineral element that serves thousands of functions in the biological pathways of human metabolism and immunity.

Overview

Zinc is important in and of itself, but it is especially important for assimilation and activation of iodine, magnesium and selenium ions.  All four minerals need to be taken at together, in activated form, in water two times/day.

Zinc affects immune function, hormone metabolism, metabolic rate and is extremely effective against infections of all types.  Zinc is critical to formation of T-3 hormone and adrenal and liver support.  Without

Zinc is stored in all vital organs, and is particularly supportive of the thyroid, ovaries, and breasts, and prostate and testicles.  Zinc helps with synthesis of thyroid T-4 to T-3 and assists the brain in monitoring circulating thyroid hormone.  Zinc deficiency is commonly associated with .  Zinc found in whole grains and nuts is NOT bio-available because it is bound by phytic acid.

Zinc helps women eliminate EXCESS ESTROGEN, be it from overproduction and imbalance or from buildup in the system due to a poorly functioning liver and bowel.

Insufficient zinc is often the cause of skin conditions, such as acne and oily skin, because the body needs zinc to make testosterone which keeps skin clear.  It also plays a big role in wound healing and immune response, as well as issues of gut permeability, low stomach acidity, Crohn’s, celiac and all manner of autoimmune conditions and suppression of infection.

Without enough zinc, women’s and men’s sex drive dwindles, and nail issues proliferate in addition to loss of smell and taste.  Alcohol prevents uptake of zinc.  Pay attention to zinc!

Without zinc, a woman who is amenorrhetic [missing normal periods for unknown reasons other than pregnancy] cannot recover her period.  Missing periods are a symptom of trouble and should NOT be ignored or written off, unless one is pregnant.

Zinc should be take daily, but NOT overdosed or copper malabsorption can occur.  Women who are on ANY FORM of hormonal contraception will automatically incur zinc deficiency.  Ask for guidance.
