Oligosaccharide: a group of stable, non-soluble, structural carbohydrates consisting of a less than three monosaccharides.  [Food for mucin producing bacteria.]

Overview

Activated oligosaccharides, such as those in Inches & Pounds, provide the structural matrix upon which specific species of mucin-producing bacteria can grow and produce HEALTHY MUCOUS.

The body uses MUCOUS to maintain the structural integrity of the intestinal wall, as well as the vagina, sinuses, bronchioles and lungs.

A healthy layer of mucous PROTECTS your brain, memory and neural functions.

NEVER, EVER FORGET that the brain and intestine communicate talk to each other 24/7/365, and the intestinal mucosa is the immune systems RADAR for disruption.

Know when you see [or experience] cognitive dysfunction, the individual is suffering from inflammation of the intestinal tract and dysbacteriosis.

Mucous is the protective shield guarding against development of leak-gut syndrome, a condition that affects 100% of the population.  The reason: 100% of the population uses [or has used] ANTIBIOTICS.

Antibiotics create extreme perturbation  of the intestinal wall and cause the tight-junctions of the mucosa to open, producing hundreds of different autoimmune disorders.

Mucous is the by-product of mucin-producing bacteria such as Akkermansia municiphilia, Faecalibacterium and certain Bifidobaceria species which everyone has in their mucosa.

What people don’t have is the substrates these bacteria need to make lots of healthy mucous.

When commensal bacteria are regularly supplied with, activated, oligosaccharide substrates, production of mucin in the intestinal gut increases significantly, providing protection of the tight junctions of the intestinal wall.

When the intestinal microbiota and mucosa are disturbed or becomes perturbed by stress, bad diet, fungal invasion and especially ANTIBIOTICS, friendly bacteria die and release chemical signaling molecules called LPS that cause the TIGHT JUNCTIONS OF THE GUT WALL to open and allow undigested food [and especially food proteins] direct access to the blood stream.  This should never, ever happen.

When it does happen, the body responds with AUTOIMMUNE SYMPTOMS.  These reactions are NOT friendly and if allowed to continue will eventually result in serious diseases like cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular, asthma, neuropathy, gout, rosacea, psoriasis and eczema.

Other serious so-called diseases are: Crohn’s and celiac disease, dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, chronic fatigue, psoriatic arthritis and multiple bowel disorders, to name a few.

Intestinal [and bladder] infections are extremely common in people with dysbacteriosis. Infections such as Clostridium difficile [C-diff], Klebsiella, and methicilllin resistant staph aureus [MRSA] attack and overwhelm friendly bacteria of the microbiota, leading to sepsis and death.

Approximately 100,000 people a year DIE from intestinal infections, and 1,000,000 infections occur because of deterioration of intestinal dysbacteriosis and loss of the mucous lining of the gut.
