Nuclear: as use here describes something that has its origin in the nucleus of the cell and has nothing to do with radiation from nuclear fission or a nuclear event, such as a nuclear bomb.

Nuclear DNA is found in the nucleus of cells where it orchestrates protein synthesis, as opposed to cellular activities that occur outside of the nucleus in the cytoplasm where many different activities occur and cellular organelles reside.

The mitochondrion is a cytoplasmic organelle, not a nuclear organelle.

Nuclear, as used here, differentiates between a product or process that occurs in the cell’s nucleus vs. the cytoplasm [area outside the nucleus but within the cell membrane].
