x-ray[s]:  ionized radiation used to photograph internal parts of the body for diagnostic purposes.

Overview

x-rays have their place when nothing else will suffice.  However, misuse and overuse of x-rays is epidemic and highly destructive to body tissue and organs.

CAT scans expose the body to 360 times the radiation of a normal x-ray.

NOTICE: dentistry is notorious for overuse of x-rays in patients, and especially in children.  Children exposed to x-ray between the ages of 6 and 16 will suffer life-long destruction of enamel cells that protect teeth.  AVOID X-RAYS!
