Ion [depletion]: loss of systemic, cellular, elemental, mineral ions from the cells and tissues, and/or the inability to uptake and replenish the body’s stores of essential ions.

Ions are atoms that are short of electrons in their outer valence shells which gives them their characteristic reactivity with other atoms and molecules of covalent and ionic makeup.

Overview

Ion depletion occurs primarily because of dietary lack of critical elemental ions.  In other words, food that lacks elemental ions, as well as soils that lack them.

Food, no matter how it is grown cannot possess mineral ions that are mission from the soil or unavailable to plants due to destructive agricultural practices, such as: use of inorganic chemical fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides and glyphosate [aka: Roundup].

Roundup locks-up soil mineral ions making them unavailable to plants and animals that eat them [including human animals].  Roundup is also responsible for plant uptake of heavy metals such as arsenic, lead, mercury and cadmium, to name just a few of the heavy elements.
