Glycolysis: a inefficient, alternative pathway for fermentation of sugar and production of ATP that occurs when aerobic respiration is dysfunctional or disturbed.  A morbid condition.

Glycolysis is the metabolic pathway that converts glucose C6H12O6, into pyruvate, CH3COCOO, and a hydrogen ion, H+. The free energy released in this process is used to form the high-energy molecules ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and NADH (reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide).

Glycolysis is an oxygen-independent metabolic pathway.  In most organisms, glycolysis occurs in the cytosol and becomes the pathway for development of cancer, which is fungus orchestrated state of dysfunctional metabolism such as CANCER.

CANCER IS A FUNGAL DRIVEN CONDITION AND A CONDITION OF ONGOING INSULIN-RESISTANCE.  Cancer is not caused by bacteria, viruses [so-called], or genetics.  Cancer is NOT genetic condition in any way and has absolutely NOTHING to do with family history.

For simple fermentation metabolism, one molecule of glucose yields two molecules of pyruvate for a net yield of two molecules of ATP.

Then, cells then initiate further reactions to “repay” the NAD+ that was used and produce a final product of ethanol or lactic acid. Many bacteria use inorganic compounds as hydrogen acceptors to regenerate the NAD+.

Cells performing aerobic respiration synthesize more ATP; a process that has nothing to do with glycolysis. Additional aerobic reactions use pyruvate and NADH + H+ from glycolysis.

Eukaryotic aerobic respiration produces approximately 34 additional molecules of ATP for each glucose molecule, however most are produced by a mechanism vastly different than the substrate-level phosphorylation used in glycolysis.

FYI: cells make ATP which is used to power cell activity only.  ATP does NOT power the body; hydrogen is the body’s PRIMARY source of energy and it gets that energy by NON-THERMALLY burning the hydrogen ion.  See hydrogen for more.
