Vitamin B-12: a critical B complex vitamin needed for hundreds of metabolic functions and reactions.

Overview

B-12 is normally derived from nutritious foods, especially greens and red meats.  However, B-12 absorption is highly dependent on production of instrinsic factor produced by cells in the stomach wall and the ability to methylate the vitamin molecule.

Absorption of B-12 is also HIGHLY DEPENDENT on production of HCL [hydrochloric acid] which falls-off after age 30 becoming progressively worse with age, meaning, people should be supplementing with HCL immediately before EACH AND EVERY MEAL.

Various forms of B-12 supplements are available, and the methylated forms are superior.  Drops under the tongue is another method of administration and are okay, but not necessarily better than pill forms.  Multiple vitamin sources of B-12 are generally useless because the B-12 is in unmethylated form and most people are lacking in CH3 methyls.

YAC recommends use of transdermal B-12 creme [called Cobo-12] for superior absorption, followed by a drop of DMSO to provide metylation for utilization.  Read about DMSO, here.
